Hello my name is Jennye Lynne and I have neglected my Blog for the past year and I am sorry. Life has been busy and full as it is for all of you....
I will not take up all of your time so I will just give you an update on what has been going on in the World of the Morgan Mardis Family.....Since the last time I was on here..HEEEE HEEEE
OK....Most of you know that in June we welcomed Ann Harper Mardis....She looks like Morgan and is full of herself and LOVES her big sister....She is about to walk any day now....she loves dogs, outside, and a bath :)
Mary Morgan is going to be 3 in August and is FULL of herself...she talks non-stop and is FULL of energy....
Her latest is that she has hidden one of her sandals and wont tell me where it is or has forgotten where she put it...oh the joys of parenthood....
I have been a stay at home mom since Ann Harper was born and this has been sooo much fun and a blessing....I dont miss very much....I love it!!
Summer is around the corner and we are looking forward to fun times with friends and family.
I have been keeping up with all of you and I hope that I can stay in the blog world.....
I have missed you and hope that you have a good and safe weekend......

Today we went to have our 20 week sonogram and we did take Mary Morgan with us and that was so funny to watch. I have to say that she was not really worried about looking at her new baby sister because she wanted to know what in the world that lady was doing to her mommy!!! She just kept looking at her saying mommy!!! So sweet.....she was not interested in her!! Since we have gotten home we have looked at the pictures and she is now saying "Harper"!! So sweet!!! The word is out and looks like Morgan is going to have a house full of females!!! Bless his heart!!! He will love his girls!!!!

Well the Holidays have come and gone and we have started a new year!! Mary Morgan was diagnosed with RSV which is a respiratory virus right before Christmas and this was no fun. She was not able to sleep because she could not breath at all!! We were doing breathing treatments every 4 hours and were encouraged to stay away from babies and elderly. That made the Holidays a little bit of a challenge. We missed the Mardis gathering because there are 2 new babies on that side of the family. Maybe next year we will be healthy!! My Mom was in town but we did not get to see much of her and she was at my grandfathers home and boy I did not want him to get sick!!!! So Christmas Eve was very quiet and so we are looking forward to next year already!! I know sounds crazy. Saturday after Christmas Mary Morgan got the stomach virus and boy did I not think things could get worse...boy was I wrong...I got the stomach virus on New Years Day morning and it was awful....I am so glad and blessed that I did not throw up during this pregnancy or with Mary Morgan. So the next week is good and Mary Morgan is finally eating again!!! This past weekend we went and hung out with the Carnells in West Mississippi. The Boys hunted and the girls just hung out.....Mary Morgan woke up in the night on Saturday running high fever and could not sleep. When we got up and I took a temp it was 103.5 under her arm!!! YIKES!!! SO needless to say we came home early and went to the after hours clinic........what now I was thinking......FLU!!!!! YEA she got it and she did have the shot!!!! Poor thing. I have to say that the Tamiflu is helping even the MD said that it may not work....Thank you Lord!!!! So she is recovering and has been fever free today!!! Below are some pictures that I have take over the past few weeks. I hope you enjoy and maybe the next time I post it will be happy news to report. Hope you all are doing well and your New Year is off to a great start!!!

Weekend FUN and Mommie and Me!!!

This weekend Mary Morgan and I had the Mommie and Me second annual Christmas Party!! It was a blast and I just can not believe that they are all growing up so big. They all played well together and just had fun taking it all in and yes the Christmas tree was still standing when we all left!!!! Amanda had a gate up around the tree so it was guarded!!! She is one smart girl!! So the first pictures that you are going to see are if Mary Morgan the Morning of the Party. She was playing in my closet and came out like this. I just busted out laughing!! She looked at me like what are you laughing at these are your shoes!! Too cute!!! I guess that she is going to like playing dress up!!!! I tried to put a video of her trying to walk to the mirror but could not make it work..darn it!!!!

Group Picture---so we mommies got smart this time and had Mrs. White take the picture for us...oh how easy but still can not make everyone happy or look at the camera!!! Maybe when they are 5!!!!

Getting Ready for Christmas with the Mardis Family

Hello all-
We have been trying to get ready for Christmas the week and boy has it been wild. Lets just start out by saying that there is no picture of the TREE because it is so different than any we have had in the past, not many ornaments and not any on the lower part of the tree!! It is a result of the 2 little extra hands that we have around here now!! It is so funny because she walks around the tree and other decorations and as she passes them she says NO NO!! I just laugh!! But hey at least she knows!!! So over the weekend while doing laundry I had gone to do something and when I got back this is how I found Mary Morgan!! I just laughed out loud!!!! I got the camera and she said "CHEZZZZ"!!! Priceless!!!!

I must say that this is our most precious Christmas Decoration!! This year is going to be so much fun!!

Wanted to get some pictures of the snow. We have about 2 1/2 to 3 inches on the ground and it is still there. Mary Morgan was not really sure about it she just walked in it and looked at her foot prints!! She did say oh boy this morning as she watched from inside as it snowed harder than I have ever seen!! She is not even 2 and has seen twice!!! That is impressive for Mississippi!!

Annopuncement from Mary Morgan Mardis!!!

Well my mommy and daddy have not gotten this t-shirt for me yet but I will be needing it in June. That is right Mommy is going to have another baby!!! We are now getting excited!! We were shocked at first but now it is sinking in and we are all getting used to the thought of another little one running around. Mommy keeps telling me that I am a big girl now and not a baby...she took my bottle away and I hate milk out of a cup!!! Mommy even tried chocolate and that did not work for me! If any of you other babies have any tricks to milk please let us know my Mommy really wants me to get some milk!!! Today Mommy is 11 weeks pregnant and I am so excited...I am not sure what I think the sex is but Mommy thinks a boy and Daddy is determined it is another girl!!! Never fear however they are going to find out...and since we have only know that were having a baby for a week or so we do not have to wait to long to find out and that is great!!!! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!!!

Blog Stalking!!!

Ok so to be honest with you about 2 weeks ago I was looking at blogs to see how friends are doing and I happened to come across a blog that I somehow can NOT seem to get back to and my heart is yearning to check on this family. They are a couple that does not live in Jackson but I think Mississippi because they are coming to Jackson the see the Pediatric Cardiologist and the High Risk OB-GYN. They are having a baby girl and she was not growing according to schedule. I have been searching every blog I can but just can not seem to get back to them. PLEASE if you know who I am talking about let me know. I want to see how they are doing they have been on my heart and I have been praying for this family.
Tonight I was posting some of the things that Mary Morgan has been doing lately and I have come across the site that I saw either before Mary Morgan was born or not long after any way....WARNING....get a tissue........I am going to attach the link so that you can also see this special video...I am crying as I type this. This video has humbled me to pray several times and it still does. Morgan and I are so blessed to have a healthy child. This video opens my eyes to so much. I love the Lord with all my heart and as I watch this I see I do not pray enough. As I watch this I feel compelled to fall to my knees and thank him for all the blessings that he has bestowed upon my family. This family is one that I have never met but respect and look up to more than anyone will ever know. They have taught me so much and all I have done is watch this video over and over.
I am also posting this site to remind me that when Mary Morgan does not sleep well, is fussy, getting teeth, running fever, will not let me put her down, is awake at 4 am, or crying for no reason I should take on the task of her needs with an open heart and no complaints.
I know that I sound ridiculous however I want to find that family so please share if you know who I am talking about and watch this video, count your blessing, and praise the Lord for what he has granted us.
A sometimes hard thing to remember but oh so true is that God does not give you more than you can handle.
I do apologize if you all have to redo your makeup after seeing the video....

Halloween 2008

This year I had so much trouble trying to decide on the perfect costume for my little angel! After spending some time with a wonderful friend Lynn Wells she had just what my heart desired! A KISS!!! She was a Hershey Kiss for her first mobile Halloween. She was so cute and she would wear the head piece for a little while. The costume was so appropriate because she gives the sweetest kisses I have ever had. She was so cute. The Mommie and Me Halloween party was a true blast...we chased children and caught up on what everyone is doing these days. I love seeing all of you and I can not wait until Christmas!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2008

We took Mary Morgan to the Pumpkin Patch to harvest some pumpkins and as you can see below she had a BLAST!!! She loved the hayride and to tell the truth the only thing she did not like was that she was unable to pick up the pumpkins. I was afraid she was going to hurt herself straining to pick them up. She would try over and over and then just get so upset and move on to the next one to see if she could manage that one. The hay maze was so much fun...she just ran and ran thru them. Morgan would get on one side and call her and she would lean over to find him and he would jump out say BOO and she just died out laughing. We will for sure have to make this a tradition!

Mississippi State Fair 2008

Morgan and I took Mary Morgan to the State Fair for the first time and oh my did she just take it all in including and entire corn dog....She just looked around the entire time. When it got dark and the lights were flashing she was in heaven...we would be walking along just taking it all in and she would just let out a scream. For those of you that know my friend Clare Agostinelli she does the squeal thing when she is really excited. Mary Morgan sounds just like her and I have to say it just cracks us up. She even walks around the house and all of a sudden will just squeal!! Too funny!!!! She was so taken by the lights, music, and action that she was dreaming in the middle of the night I jumped up to see if she was ok and she was pointing up....i guess like she was pointing to a ride...was funny. She loved playing the gold fish game and we came home with TWO and they only lasted about 10 days..o-well fun while it lasted!!! The petting zoo was great fun also....she loved everything but the pig that bit her! Yea i am not sure how that happened...she told him NO NO!!!! Funny Funny!!! We are counting down until the fair next year!!!

A Trip to Texas

Well the first weekend in October we know that Daddy is going to be gone hunting so Mommy and I packed it up, jumped on a plane, and went to see MiMi and Jea!! Boy did we have fun!!! I got to eat more ice cream in one weekend than I have my entire life.....I guess that grandparents really do let you do whatever you want!!! We did lots of shopping!!! I mean I am going to have to really get some rest when mom says we are going to Texas, we left the house about 10 am and got home about 10pm. I did ok..took naps in the car!!!! Well Sunday was the best we got to go to the ZOO!!! I did not know how much fun this was going to be, you should have seen all the animals!!! Mommy, MiMi and Jea laughed at my reactions!!!!! I guess I was just so excited...I know that is going to be one place that I ask to go all the time!!!! Please see some of the fun snap shots!!!

Hello all-

I know that it has been a REALLY long time since I have posted any pictures or and news about our lives and I apologize. Seems like we always have something going on and I must say that I am working very hard on some fall clothes for Mary Morgan. WARNING: this is going to be a very long blog about what has been going on with us for the past 2 months so get comfortable and enjoy the story!!!!!

FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! We celebrated Mary Morgan's FIRST birthday on August 9,2008. We had so much fun hanging out with family and friends. I think that Mary Morgan was just in awe the entire time. She loved swimming and playing on the playground!!!

We must tell you all what happened at the end of the night......so we were all cleaning up from the party and some kids were swimming....Jennye Lynne and here mom picking up things and loading the cars and just chatting about how much fun we had and how funny Mary Morgan was when all of a sudden the sprinklers came on and they came on with a vengeance!!! I mean we were all soaked and so was the inside of my car!!!! I mean I had no idea what to do....I just stood there and screamed for morgan!!!! I have to use a line that I have heard Crissie say many times......just making a memory!!!! What a memory we will have for her!!!! Happy Birthday Little Girl we LOVE You!!!

MISSISSIPPI STATE BULLDOG FOOTBALL!!!! Mary Morgan and I went to Starkville with my Daddy, Ms. Wan, and Callie to the the first MSU home football game. It was so much fun and Mary Morgan had a blast!!! We did not get there until midday on Saturday and then of course MMM wanted to take a nap. We went to my dads place and let her nap until about 4:30. We went to campus and then to the game. Crissie I am so sorry that we missed you I would have never thought that MMM would have made it thru the entire game but she did. Hopefully we will be able to see you at another game that we can get to campus earlier and have some mingle time before the game!!!

This weekend was very hot as you all know, so we beat the heat by staying inside and yes eating popsicles!!!!I know that some of you are thinking i am crazy because that is just sugar water but hey...she loved it and it was a treat!!!We did not do much this weekend and it was fabulous!!!!! We had our ONE year Mommy and Me birthday celebration!!! We were lucky enough to get to use Amanda and Regan's parents pool!!! SO much fun you know because we took swimming lessons together!!!! The mommies and babies all swam while the daddies cooked burgers and chicken!!! We ate food and then the good stuff!!!! We made cupcakes for each baby and they loved it!!! Kyle, Ella, and Aiden all get the award for indulgence!!! They loved them. Thanks to everyone, this party was a blast!!!!

So this weekend really made reality set in. Last week on July 3rd Walker Skelton turned 1 years old and this week Crosby Petro also joined him in the 1 year club. I just can not believe that we are already having birthday parties!!! It has been so much fun!! This weekend we joined the Petro family in celebrating Crosby's First Birthday. It was so much fun to see everyone, eat cupcakes, and see what other babies are doing these days. Walking seems to be the going thing and my my they are fast!!!! Beach Vacation 2008

This was Mary Morgans FIRST vacation! She had a blast even with a broken Collar Bone. Ok so I am not sure that all of you heard but Mary Morgan broke her collar bone before we went to the beach. It happened late Tuesday evening and we ended up in the ER at Baptist. Let me just say that she has never cried like that before and I can not tell you how it feels. I mean there was nothing I could do for her and I just felt helpless!!! So Dr. Purvis wrapped her up like a little mummy for 3 days..boy that was a challenge!!! I mean you go from having a baby that rarely wants to be held to a baby and walks and crawls a lot to a baby that must be held because she has no balance without that arm....so it was hard but we knew that it was best for her. So after the 3 days of mummy we were able to put her in what is called a figure of eight brace, this is what you will see in some of the pictures however I did take it off a few times for pictures. So please enjoy the pictures below!!!

First Day on the beach and I think that I like this here place!!!

Daddy is talking to me about how i need to get used to the sand because sometimes it can be difficult to walk on so I need to be very careful.

My mommy got me this hat at the dollar store and I love it. Hats are for sure one of my favorite things. I just laugh and laugh at myself in the mirror especially when I get it on!! I love to wear it while at the beach or at the pool too!!!

Playing with Mack in the baby pool my daddy got me because I have no fear of water but the waves are just a bit much for me and it is very hard to blow bubbles in the ocean.

Mommy and I just hanging out!!! I loved the beach and the sand tasted good too!!!

OK so here is a glimpse into my trip and my mommy will post my good beach pictures soon!! She just can not make up her mind which ones she likes the most!!!!

My Daddy ROCKS!!!!

So today is Fathers Day and I want to tell you all how awesome my daddy is. I know that most of you have daddies and you all love them and they rock too!!!
I just wanted to share a few reasons with you why I LOVE my DADDY so MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

1. He tells me I am beautiful and how much he loves me each day!

2. He races my mom each morning so that he can get to me first in the mornings when I wake up.

3. He loves to take me outside and swing me really high.

4. He makes my mommy wipe my face off when there is so much food on it that he knows that I could not possibly be enjoying my meal!!!

5. Each afternoon when he gets home we sit in the floor in play. This is our special time.

6. Playtime before bath time: if you other babies have never done this then you really need to give it a try. Daddy helps mommy put on my PJ's then he takes me to there big bed and we play. I just love this so much. I laugh so hard and I look forward to it each night!!!!!!

7. Riding on the GOLF CART!!!! So much fun and I love the wind in my face!!!

8. Breakfast on the weekends. Daddy gets up early and goes and gets my favorite!!! DOUGHNUTS!!!!!!!! Those doughnut holes just fit perfect in my hand!!!! Try them in you have not!!!

9. Throwing the ball to Millie!!!! I love to watch her run and run. I laugh and Daddy thinks it is funny so we both enjoy it.

10. Swimming with Daddy!!!! The pool is so fun. We play motor boat, row your boat, and just play. He holds me so that I can see all the other children play.

I hope that you have now seen how my daddy rocks!!!

I love him so much and I look forward to the many fun times that are in store for the two of us!

The Sweetest Moments!!!

The past few weeks have been full of change but have been so much fun. Ever since we went to the doctor for our 9 month check up she has not had a bite of baby food. It is like she will not even think about eating off of a spoon. The only exception to that rule is APPLESAUCE!!! She is just getting big so fast. I have to say that I feel like I am running out of ideas for her menu wise so if you have any ideas please feel free to share. Things that she loves to eat....Strawberries, cinnamon toast, peaches, pears, applesauce, french fries, chicken, any vegetables, and yes i am typing correctly fried catfish. We went to Cock of the Walk and OH MY she just ate and ate. Things that she will not eat....Gerber Meat Sticks...this was funny she put one in her mouth shook her head spit it out and looked at me like did you really just give that to me. The funny thing is that she will eat a hot dog. I did not ever try the meat sticks but I have to say that they did not look good to me either. The transition to WHOLE milk has been so easy and now for an entire week we are just getting whole milk. She loves it and she actually takes more of it than she did of formula. So this is a question for you moms out there. We are still not really liking or knowing what to do with a sippy cup yet....anyone else having this same problem. Any suggestions????? I hope that you all had a wonderful first mothers day. The first picture below was my gift on mothers day. We had been trying to teach MMM how to give a kiss and she was just on my shoulder and I said can you give mom a kiss and she just got it. She would lean over to one side give a kiss,laugh, and then go to the other side and give another...This was precious and I will never forget this.

SO this past Sunday we were playing in the floor before we went to church and she stood up and I told her to come here and see mama and OH MY she did it!!!! THREE steps and then she did it again for Morgan!!! I scared her to death with my squeal but i just could not believe my eyes and today she has taken as many as FIVE steps at a time. I just can not believe that she is about to start walking!!! Look out world here I come!!!!

Our pool opened last weekend and we were really excited to go and see how MMM did but we had 103.2 fever and were at the after hours pediatric clinic. She had a ear infection in that left ear so you know that water was not something that they recommended. Finally on Monday when the antibiotic started to work she perked up a bit.. We went to the pool and she had fun. Are those glasses not just so funny! She wore them the entire time. I actually think that she likes wearing them.

Nine Months and growing!!!!

Today we took Mary Morgan for her NINE month check-up!!! I just can not believe that she just turned 9 months old. SO sad!!!! However we are having so much fun watching her learn new things and seeing her personality develop. Her stats today were Weight a whopping 15lbs and 6 oz with clothes and diaper. I am going to say we are about 15lbs and 3 ounces but that is sooooo good because we have FINALLY doubled our birth weight!!!!!! Her weight puts her in the 5th percentile!!!! That just makes me laugh. She is 28 1/4 inches long. This is in the 95th percentile!!! Bottom line.......long and skinny!!!!!! Dr. VanNorman told us that we can eat whatever she will eat except peanut butter and eggs....I was thinking that she would love a scrambled egg. Owell!!!! We are going to start WHOLE milk this weekend. We are hoping that it will be more sweet than her formula and she will start taking more milk. We are only getting about 18-20 ounces a day. Hello all I hope that you are all doing well and that you are all gearing up for summer. I have to say that we have not really been up to much lately except having fun with family and friends. Tomorrow is our last swim class at Maley's swim school and I have to say that I am going to miss seeing everyone on a weekly basis!!! I hope that we can find someone to do something for us over the summer so that they do not lose the skills and fondness of the water that they have developed. Mary Morgan has been doing so much lately and she is getting so much fun. Morgan and I just can not believe that she is about to be NINE months old. My how time flies. Anyone that reads this and knows of anyone that teaches swim lesson please let me know. We hosted a crawfish boil for Mark and Kassi and it was so much fun. It was great to see you all and just hang out. I miss you all so much and am so glad that I got to see you.

These pictures were taken week before last and I forgot to post them last week. Sorry!!! We got this idea from Taylor Parker, Michael and Crissie got Taylor some of these balls and he loved them so we decided to get some for MMM. It took forever for us to be at the Wal-Mart when they had some it...this is obviously something that alot of people are getting. But we got 2 bags and the pool. She loved it!!! She has figured out how to get in and out of the pool and how to drop the balls out of the pool, go get them, and get back in the pool.

First Boo Boo!!!!

Yes there is a boo boo on her face!!!!
Last night we were at a friends house eating dinner and Mary Morgan was on the floor playing and the dog snapped and MMM started to scream!!!! At first when I got her I did not see any blood so I thought that she was just scared and then here comes the blood-She has a wound that is open under her eye.
We got an antibiotic today from her Pediatrician and then the Plastic surgeon told us how to care for it and to prevent a bad scar from forming on her face. Pray it is not a bad scar!! But hey just a mark of character if she does get one.

SICK BABY!!!!

Ok so most of you already know that we have been fighting something since last tuesday. On and off fever, a cough that is aweful, runny nose, and just a fussy baby. Well last wednesday we went to the doctor and they told me that she was teething...ok I will take that....give tylenol and motrin around the clock and we should be good....well no not really....Friday cough and nose got worse and fever still lingering around 101. I call the nurse can she told me this was teething and that I could try benadryl to see if that was any help. Lets just say it was NO HELP and Mary Morgan is still miserable and I have to admit that Morgan and I were just as frustrated...nothing we did gave any relief!!!! So I call the Nurse back and she told me the give her Dimmatapp.....no help either and she can not breathe. Tuesday I am over it and exhausted so I call the doctor and say that we must be seen. I think that she thought that I was nuts until we get there MMM's chest x-ray look nasty.....lungs sound aweful...we have labs drawn....and an RSV test done....now that is when I got scared......RSV i know that stuff is bad and can make a baby really sick.....We have to wait 15 long and nerve racking minutes for the RSV test to come back......Finally some good news when the doctor came back in.....NO RSV but there is something going on with her lungs....so we are on breathing treatments 2x's a day and couch meds.....Let me just say that a 7 month old baby does not like to be held down so that the mask sits on her face and she actually breathes in the meds. I hope that none of you ever have to do this. Hopefully we should see results in about 2-3 days!!! Pray that this gets this baby better!!!!! We are just ready for our sick baby to feel better!!!! Hope you are all doing well!!!

I am soooo sorry that it has been so long..this month has not only flown by but has been really busy. I hope that the pictures that are below will let you in on the fun that we have had this month. We have really been enjoying the weather...MMM is getting to where she is enjoying her stroll in the afternoons. The week after Valentines day was huge!!! Mary Morgan started crawling, we got a tooth, started eating solids 3 times a day, and got her 6 months shots!!!!
We weighed in at 13lbs 6oz (10th) percentile and were 25 3/4 inches long (95th) percentile. Enjoy the photos below!!! Hope you all have a good week!!!!

Mary Morgan is 6 months old today and we just can not believe it...just like the blog header says "thanks God for his gifts". This is so true what a blessing she is and how much fun have we had over the past six months. We just can not believe how much she has changed our lives and can imagine our lives without her....Life could not be any sweeter!!!! She has grown from a small bundle of joy into my heart moving around in front of my eyes!!! She brings us so much joy!! The past 6 months have been the best and if they are only a glimpse of what is yet to come then Praise the Lord for the gift that he has blessed us with...Time flies and they will be getting out of our cars to go to Kindergarten before long!!!! We hope that the slide show gives you a peek into the joy that she has brought to our lives for the past 6 months!!!! Thanks for helping us celebrate!!!! Happy Birthday to our little girl!!!!!

Ok so Mary Morgan is going to be baptized this weekend and she is wearing the dress that I worn when I was baptized and it is so pretty but the problem is shoes and that this where you come in....So please let me know what you think....shoes or no shoes???????????
The dress is long and will for sure cover her feet and it is an ivory color....not white or even close to white.....I mean black shoes will not look good.....I can not find ivory shoes....blah anyway!!!! and she would not wear them much at all.....so what do you think.....can she be baptized with out shoes??????

Crissie has tagged so I am going to spend the next few minutes with you telling you 7 random things about myself that you may or may not know....So please take into consideration when reading them that they are in fact RANDOM....

1. I do not like to be called "jennye" my parents named me Jennye Lynne and that is what I want others to call me. I truly do not answer people that call me "jennye"..I will however let you call me jen....

2. My moms smell....I know that you are all thinking....WHAT!!!! OK you all know my mom lives in Huston, TX so when she comes to visit I love going into the room that she stayed in....She has a smell like no other and I know that when I smell that smell it is my mom!!!! It is a smell that comforts me, gives me security, and makes me sad...I hate it when she has to leave.....

3. I LOVE Veggies!!!!! I would rather eat vegtables all day everyday than anything else!!!!

4. Planner and on a Schedule----yea I know that you are thinking that you do not do that anymore since I have Mary Morgan and you are correct to a degree....what is random is that i want to have a plan and a schedule and i truly get flustered when i get off track.....I have learned to deal with this a little since the Lord has blessed me with Mary Morgan...

5. Tears.....Anytime that we are in church and we sing or the choir sings a song that I love I cry.....especially songs that remind me of people, memories, or make me realize how blessed I am....

6. SLOB----just ask morgan, leslie, crissie,durr, and others I have lived with....I am and I just can not help it!!!! I try really hard some some how my closet is a disaster at all times.....but randomly I get a wild hair and I must clean and clean and then I am good....Thank the Lord my husband is a NEAT FREAK so we have balance!!!!!

7. I love to listen to DJ's on the radio...you know like the morning shows....i know that most people have fallen in love with satellite radio but I just think it is boring and soooooo wasteful..I want to hear funny jokes and what people say when they call the radio stations.... also it lets me know what is going on around me.....

I am warning you now that there are many pictures below. It seems that Mary Morgan is changing everyday and I just can not snap enough pictures. She is getting sooo much fun and Morgan and I just fall deeper in love with her each day. She is trying to crawl soooo hard. She will get up on all fours and rock back on her knees but she just can not figure out how to move forward yet but I am sure that it will not be long. Gosh seem like just yesterday she was born. My My how time flies. We have not been up to much just hanging out and trying to stay warm. I am so sorry I am really going to try and do much better. Well Mary Morgan turned 5 months old on the 6th and I just can not believe that she is such a big girl. She has gotten to where she loves the highchair and eating. I have to say that I think her favorites are peas and pears. We are eating a fruit and cereal in the mornings and a fruit and vegetable at night. She is also doing better at night. Thanks to Morgan for putting his foot down and saying that we needed to let her cry it out at night and STOP getting up every time she whimpered to give her a passy!!! WOW I have not gotten up in the past 3 nights and it has been wonderful. I will say it was hard to do but well worth it. Christmas came and went and by the end of the day Mary Morgan was ready for it to be over. Bless her heart she was sooooooooo tired. The Santa outfit below is just a cute outfit she wore during the Holidays. She has really gotten fun lately and her personality is just getting too cute!!!!

Challenges of being 4 months old!!!

Mary Morgan went for her 4 month check up this week. The shots were terrible and so are the knots on her legs...It is so sad. I have to say that she did ok. I gave her Tylenol and she seemed to be fine...She weighed 12lbs 6oz..25th percentile ; height is 25 1/2 inches...95th percentile...I was so shocked about height I can not remember anything about her head....

After several questions to the doctor we came out with she is eating well but that we need to start some food on a spoon....

THE CHALLENGE!!!!
I am not so sure about this stuff!!!

Maybe this is not so bad as long as you get comfortable!!!

We have gotten good with the Cereal on a spoon and we have moved to vegetables....We are now on our 3rd day of squash and are getting better everyday however it is still a big mess!!!! I do not know that she is really getting alot of food.

Trip to Texas!!!

Mary Morgan and I went to Houston, Texas to see my mom and jea is November. It was so much fun. I was dreading the plane ride as you know if there is a screaming baby on the plane the trip is terrible. I am happy to report that she slept the entire plane ride over and back. What a blessing. My NEW Fall/Halloween outfit that my Mommy made me. Yes, you heard me my Mommy made this. She was so proud she has not shut up about what she made me. I know that she has got some big plans for my wardrobe. She really did well making these she did not act like it was too hard. She has already gone back to Continental Sewing and gotten fabric to make 3 more outfits. WOW!!! She tells daddy that it is so relaxing!!! The pumpkin on the onsie is from Chenille by the inch. and you just sew it on wash it and give it a good brushing and it looks so cute!!! She will get a picture of me and post it when I have it on so you can get the real picture of how cute this is!!!!

My New Bumbo!!! Boy daddy really had me going here!!! I am sorry that his hand is in the way of my smile but mommy though this picture was precious!!!! I love the bumbo I can sit in it for about 15 minutes!!!

Let us try and catch you all up on what has been happening to me!!!!

Lets start catching you all up with my 8 week check up. Mom and Dad took me and not only was I glad that Daddy was there but Mommy was too. She was not happy about me getting my shots and she did cry. Daddy told me that it would be ok and that it was going to be over before I knew it. I screamed for about 5-10 minutes and then I was fine. Mommy gave me tylenol for 48 hours like the doctor told her and I guess that you could say that I did well. I was fussy and wanted mom to hold me all afternoon. Mommy was ok with that except that it really spoilled me and I did not want to be put down all weekend. My doctor told my Mommy and Daddy that I looked really well. My weight was 9lb 4oz which is good but I would say that I am still a little thing. My height is 231/2 inches. This was impressive and I am in the 95th percentile she told my parents. So I gathered that I am long and lean. I have to say that I got some cool band-aids after I got the shots. It was purple with dinosaurs.

Mom is still trying to get a good picture of me with her camera! This one is pretty good but I can smile better than this I just think that it is funny to watch my mom take millions of pictures of me and hear how funny she sounds talking to me trying to get me to smile. She is too funny!!!!

This is a picture that my daddy took, we went to the bowling alley and it was so much fun so my parents say!! I slept and just hung out while mommy and daddy bowled with the family!!!
OK- This is a big step!!! I went to chuch!!!! I did make it a few minutes but then mommy and I had to go and sit in the parlor. That was ok mommy got to go and she loved it. I do not look like I had a good time in the picture below but you know I was really hungry and mommy wanted to take pictures, hopefully she is realize that I can make them good or bad!!! We are going to try and go to church this weekend and I may make it the whole time we will just have to see what kind of mood I am in!!! It is funny how I can control so much that we do.
Guess what is going on here???? Mommy is still trying to get some good pictures of me!!! These are the best shorts!!! They are sooo soft and I love them. So this picture is from today. Mommy and I went to the canton flea market. WOW. It was said on the news tonight that there were between 60 and 70 thousand peeople there!!! Lets just say that this made it difficult for Mommy to get around with my stroller. I bet that she said "excuse me, I am sorry" about a million times. There were some really nice people there that did help her get my stroller up and down the stairs. This outfit that I have on was given to me by my MIMI ABRAHAM in Texas....It is soooooo cute and I got so many compliments!! Thanks MIMI!!! Mommy and I headed out about 1125 am this morning to go to Canton. We met Leslie, Crosby, and Mrs. Penn. It was soo fun. Crosby looked really cute and gosh he is a big boy. I know that he will be a great protector later when I need it.
This is a picture of Mommy and I at Mrs. Penn's house. She let us park at her house and let me get something to eat there. That was nice. We all sat and talked for a while. My Mommy had a great time talking to Leslie and her mom. I bet that I have got some exiting days ahead as they talked about how to get me on a schedule and how it would be ok for Mommy to give me a bottle of breastmilk or formula. She is really scared to do that for some reason. If any of you have any words of wisdom for her please send the comments. She worries that I do not get enough. I know she is nuts but I know that she just worries because she wants the best for me. She is also mentally trying to prepare herself to go back to work =( ! So we are going to work on this schedule thing over the next week. Pray for us and Mommy that she does not get sad about going back to work.OK..enough blah blah blah about my Mommy!!!! Do you see the cute bow in my hair????? Mommy got me 4 and they are soooo fun and as you can see they look just great in my head full of hair!!! SO to end this post session I would like to tell Crosby that we had a great time today and you are really cute. Leslie thanks so much for tlakig to my mom and making her feel better about how I am doing and my crazy eating habits!!!!

So other things that we have been busy doing. Mommy has gotten a sewing maching and she is getting busy with sewing me some clothes. Her grandmother sewed for her and that was so special to her and she wants to do that for me. She is smocking a christmas gown for me now and then she has got some big plans for some other things for me. I have to say that I saw the pictures and they are some cute things if she can get them to look like what the picture looks like. I will get her to put some pictures on the blog spot when she gets really going on the gown so you all can see!!! We are sorry that it has been so long and I hope that this gets you all cought up on what has been going on with us. Take care and have a great weekend.

We just wanted to let you know that we are just as sad as you are that you had to go back to work today. Please know that we are thinking of you and if you need us to do anything please call us. I know that we have not posted in a while but we have been busy and my mom still can not get a good smile on camera!! Maybe one day she will!!! We get our shots this week so please pray that it goes well and that I do not feel too bad. Mom bought a sewing machine this weekend and she is about to start smocking a dress for me. Lets hope that it is going to fit and that it looks halfway decent!!! She is excited and Continental Sewing is her new favorite store!!! I will get her to take a picture of her first project. We Made it!!!! First night in her room.. ALONE =(

This is were we started the task of sleeping in her crib in her room for the first time....with a nice bath!

Look I am showing off my legs for you! How she wiggled her way down there I will never know...but hey whatever!!!

Well I know that you are all wondering if we have gotten her thru the night in her crib??? The answer is YES!!! Ok I have to admit that I paced and paced!!! We started out with a nice relaxing bath. She ate and then we rocked but only to a minimum!!! i Did not want to put her to sleep rocking. We then went to her room and I told her that she was a big girl and that it was time for her to sleep in her big girl bed. She just looked at me with those eyes and gosh the tears were flowing in my eyes I have to admit and she had not even cried yet. So we turned on the mobile and she was fine for about 8 minutes and then she realized that we were not in there and that we were not going to come and get her and she began to cry. =( She cried for about 12 minutes and then went to sleep. She then woke up and cried for about 10 more minutes....then I would say she was sleeping like a baby...Ok that is when it got traumatic for me...I was constantly telling Morgan that he needed to go and check on her and make sure that she is ok...yes the monitor is on and I can here that she is not crying but I am seriously stressed that she is not going to be sleeping right next to me in her cradle and that she is not within reaching distance. YIKES!!!!! OK so we finally get ready for bed and I have asked Morgan one more time to go and check on her, bless his heart he goes with no problem because he can see the stress in my eyes...He comes back and says she is fine and she will be fine with a big hug!!! I needed that more than he will ever know. OK now we are in shock because it is 10:20 and we are ready for bed, Mary Morgan is sleeping in her bed, we are not having to whisper, and there are no extra lights on in our room that I always have on so that I can see her. The night ends with prayers to keep her safe and for this to be a good night for all of us and my precious husband saying "I forgot what it was like to sleep in the dark, good night I love you".

So I must say that I think that it went well. Thanks to all for the advice and help. I could not have done it without it!!!

Week 5...where did the time go?

Hello everyone I know that you will probably not see this until Monday but Mary Morgan is sleeping, the laundry is caught up and my house is half way clean so I have a minute to post. YAY!!!
This week has been fun. Her tummy is feeling better now that we have gas drops and Zantac for reflux. Thank goodness for this stuff!!!! We have actually backed way off the gas drops and she seems to be doing well. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!!
She is sooo much fun in the mornings after her first feeding. She wants to talk and just smile and coo. She has started making some noises...She is her happiest after her first feeding and after her 7:30PM feeding. This is when we just stare at her and talk to her and if anyone could hear us you would be laughing your butts off!!! I have been trying to capture a smile on camera but that has been a chore!! I will keep trying...
I can not belive that she is going to be 6 weeks old on Monday!!! WOW seems like yesterday they put her in my arms for the first time. She is growing so fast and changing everyday. She is going to be a big girl in no time going to Kindergarten. I am going to cry just thinking about it.
UPDATE ON POP~!!!! This week Mary Morgan and I went out and spent the day with POP, Morgan's dad...he seems to be doing better and getting his strength back!!! Hang in there pop you will be back to normal in no time...We love you!!!!
QUESTIONS TO OTHER MOMS!!!!!
OK- let me start by thanking Leslie Petro for all the help...I could not have done this without your help and encouragement!!!!
Other moms please feel free to give advice and helpful hints...thanks in advance.....
Getting her adjusted to her crib and out of the cradle in our room----ok this has been hard....I have been letting her take naps in her crib. The second hardest thing I have done so far is let her cry....She is soooo spoiled to my arms or any ones arms I should say!!! I am trying to get to where I can put her in her bed and she will go to sleep. She will stay for a second and then start screaming. I know that she has a full tummy and dry diaper. So I let her cry and as I let her cry the tears are swelling in my eyes!!! Ok so the 15 minutes go by and I calm her and she is fine!!! Not a peep once she is in my arms...so she is fine I keep telling myself....Put her back down and here she goes again. The times that I have attempted this task she cries until it is time to nurse again and so I have lost the battle she gets picked up and she did not go to sleep in her crib like I wanted her to...Help if you can!!!!
Also I am trying to put her in her swing from about 6 or 6:30 until her 7:30pm so that I can get dinner ready, eat, and get some things done around the house...This is her fussy time of the day...after her 4:30 feeding until she falls asleep before her 7:30 feeding... Ok so I put her down she is fine for about 5-7 minutes and she begins to sing to me very loudly!!!! I just let her cry and she has fallen asleep 2 times...YEA!!!! But again I hate to hear her cry!!!!
Nursing---did any of you moms have days where your baby would only nurse for about 8-10 minutes total but be content until the next feeding. She did this to me the other day and scared me to death...again just want to see if anyone else has experienced this.
Basically I just want to hear over and over the let her cry it out and she will be fine!!!
I am telling all of this because I just want to hear what other moms have to say...I know that she will be fine to cry but any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!!

This past Friday we made a road trip with Leslie and Crosby to Starkville to see Courtney and Walker. We had sooo much fun and I have to say that Mary Morgan loved having all the attention from the 2 boys. We had lunch at Oby's and then we went up to the Chi-O house for some pictures. Wow did that bring back memories. I want to go back!!!! Well it was so much fun and i have some pics for you all to enjoy!

Hey-

We are very sorry that we have not updated or posted this week. We have been really busy. Mary Morgan's aunts from Hattisburg and Georgia are here and they have been staying with us while Mary Morgan's POP is in the hospital. Pop had a quadruple bypass on his heart last friday. Pop is getting some better. He has been battling nausea but we hope that they have finally gotten that under control. He did walk yesterday and that was a great improvement. He had not wanted to do anything since he felt so bad. Pop we hope you get better soon! He loves to sing to his grandchildren and she loves music and I know that they are going to be great friends. So Pop get moving!!! Please continue to pray for a easy and speedy recovery!

Lets see what else is going on with us.....Mary Morgan and that is about it. I finally actually went to the grocery store yesterday. The last time that groceries were bought for my house was when my mom was here!!! Mom went right before she left to go back home. Thanks to her we did not starve. Lets say that it was a chore!!! Mary Morgan's carrier does not fit just right and so she has to go in the big part of the buggy!!! Well where do you put the groceries!!! You just get the must haves and that is it. You also do not mingle down each aisle just to look and see what you might find and she may start crying at any moment and then what do you do!!! I am glad to say that we made it!!! She is also getting to where she loves to take a bath. She just sits and looks around. I think that she is going to be a girly girl. She loves to just sit and soak!!! A bath can be a girls best friend. Leslie, Crosby, Mary Morgan and I are going to try and go to see Courtney and Walker tomorrow if all goes well and Pop is still doing well. Take are to you all and we hope to see you all soon!!!

Jimmy Mardis, Morgan's daddy has been complaining of chest pain for the past several days and after a diagnostic heart cath yesterday we were told that he had major blockage in several of the vessels of the heart. A good report is that he does not have any heart damage. This will or should be a good factor in recovering from the surgery. He is going to have heart bypass surgery on Friday morning. Morgan and his family are scared and nervous as any family would be. We are asking that you would pray for the doctors and family that this surgery would be a success and that all would go well. Please also pray for peace of mind. It is really hard to see your husband upset and scared to death about his fathers health. Thanks so much for all that you have done already. The power of prayer is truly amazing!! We will keep you posted as things happen. Take care!

Mary Morgan's Umbilical cord finally fell off and we were off to the bath....I was excited and I think that I enjoyed it much more than she did. She was not sure at first and I swear that she did not start crying until we washed her hair. As you can see that she was fine after the bath in her swing. Hope you all are having a good week.

Hello-

I know that it has been a long time and I apologize about that. I can say that it is getting easier and I think that I am getting the hang of it. Yesterday we went and met Crosby and Walker for a meeting of the babies. We had a great time and I will have a picture from that soon as I forgot my camera, but never fear Leslie and Courtney have got the Mommy thing down pat and they were prepared. They were sooo cute. They all slept and I will put the pictures up soon. Mary Morgan and I went out 3 times this last week and it was fun. She is staying awake more and it is getting fun. I am not sure that I even reported how the pediatrician's visit went. She now weighs 7lb 8 oz. This was a great report as she had lost down to 6lb 8oz when we were not nursing. So the nursing is doing great and we are doing well with it. Thanks to all for the support and words of wisdom. She has grown 1 inch in 2 weeks. Her doctor said that she could be a tall girl. Taylor Parker you might meet your match soon. OK so you are wondering why I called this post waking up? She has been staying awake a great deal during the day and she just wants to look around. You can see her eyes in these pictures!!! I have got to get her a mobile, I did not know if I wanted one at first but she just searches for something to look at! I really do not have anything fun to report to you. I will tell you that we are enjoying Mary Morgan more than I could have ever imagined. When you fall in love with your child it is like a love that you never knew existed. I have put some pictures on for you all to enjoy. Tomorrow we go to the doctor for our 2 week check up. We will let you know about her weight status when we get back. Hopefully we will be on the gaining side.

Prayers Have Been Answered!!!!

Well I am happy to report that yesterday we went back to the newborn clinic at Baptist and we have gained another 1/2 ounce!!! This was going to be a big tell tell sign because I have been breastfeeding only. That is also going much better. Leslie said that I would get it just when I thought that I could not do this anymore. Her Jaundice is better and we no longer have to have the Billi Blanket. Thanks sooo much for your prayers and words of encouragement.

Seems like yesterday and today she is wanting to stay awake a little more which is fun. We have loved holding her and we catch ourselves staring at her all the time.

Morgan and I also have been talking about how she is over a week old and it seems like they just put her in our arms for the first time about 5 minutes ago. I mean I have always heard people tell me that your children grow up sooo fast. I see this in looking at friends blog spots. I mean I remember when we each announced that we were going to have a baby! I am not wanting to take my eyes off of her as I do not want to miss a minute of her life.

Thanks again for all the prayers and support I am not sure that we would have gotten breastfeeding without your words of encouragement and prayers. So again we say thanks.

Hello all-
We are sorry that it has been so long since we last posted but lets just say things are a little crazy!!!!
Mary Morgan is Jaundice and we have been having to use a Billi Blanket...This restricts us to one area of the house as it has to be plugged into the wall. What a pain let me tell you!!! We have to go back to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully we can get rid of it!!! Please pray that we will be able to and that Nursing gets easier. I mean breastfeeding is probably one of the hardest things that I have ever done. We are getting the hang of it and right now that she has just started latching on it seems like I am feeding her every 45 minutes or so. If any of you experienced this please let me know or are we just having a hard time. Yesterday she was a week old and WOW it seems like we just got her. I mean you know how they say they grow up right before your eyes and how fast it goes....I mean I want her to stay little forever. Thanks again for all the calls, emails, and prayers. You are all the best. I have attached some pics.

Hello All-

First we would like to say thanks to all who stopped by, called, sent flowers, and said prayers. All of our friends and family made this an experience that we will never forget and we look forward to sharing our changing lives with you all. Again Morgan and I want to say THANK YOU!!!

We got home about 11:30 Am yesterday and all seems to be going well. She looked beautiful when she came home in that white gown. I just can't seem to get it in my mind that she is ours and how blessed we are to have been given this gift for The Lord. What a blessing. I have attached some pics for you all to enjoy. We will be trying to post as often as we can. Thanks again for all that you all did in making this a wonderful experience.

Well it is Sunday afternoon and we are preparing for our journey to parenthood. We have to be at the hospital at 5pm this afternoon. We are going to be at Baptist. Tonight we are to get Cervadil and then we will be induced first thing in the morning. I have to say that I am nervous and a little on edge....I think that I am just afraid of the unknown....I hope that you all have a great week. I just wanted to let you all know that we will be going back to the doctor tomorrow with our bags packed and the hope that she is going to tells us that we can walk over to the hospital and have this baby. I am not sure that is what she is going to say. I do know that if she does not put me in that I will be scheduled to go in on Sunday night and will be induced on Monday morning. Week 37...OH MY GOSH !!!!!

Hello all -

Not much going on here just waiting for this munchkin to get here so that we can love on her. Morgan said last night that he could not wait to meet her and I said me either....I think that we are getting tired of waiting. We went to the doctor yesterday and we are still at 1cm but are thinned out about half way. He said that her head is down and that she is right where she needs to be in order to enter this world.YIKES!!!! YEA!!!! AM I READY????? Now that is all good but OH MY GOSH am I ready. I know that all you moms are like you can do this but you have to say that you all were a bit nervous right??? I hope so....Would you please pray for us that we have a good delivery, a healthy baby, and parenting comes easy. I think that Morgan is going to be a better parent than I will be. I think that I just want to be a good mom and not fail. I know I am just overreacting but please still pray. This weekend we will have her room all together and I should get some pictures up for you to see. I got to see some of the bedding yesterday and I just about cried...I love it. Kim Mardis, you rock!!!! Thanks so much for making her room perfect!!! This weekend we have a couple of shelves to put up and hope that we get to lay by the pool and get a good tan...Rain Rain go AWAY!!!!

Mary Morgan's Baby Shower

Hello All-
I know that it has been a long time since we posted but I did not want to bore you with just anything. Mary Morgan had 2 wonderful showers this weekend and we are so blessed to have wonderful friends and family. We would like to thank each and everyone of you for all you did. I know that I can bring her home now and we will survive for a while. It was so much fun seeing everyone and sharing this special time with you all. Morgan and I thank God daily for our wonderful friends and family. We can not wait for each of you to meet her and get to know her.
My belly is growing and I go back to the doctor tomorrow and we will see if we have made any progress and I will let you all know how the doctor visit went.

Today at work we had our first baby shower for Mary Morgan. Oh I just do not even know where to start. I guess the best place is "Thank You All". Mississippi Sports Medicine is one big family and I am so lucky to be a part of that. We had soooo much fun and we were blessed with MANY wonderful gifts. Week 32 and Counting !!!!

Hello all-
Today we went for our 32 week appointment and Mary Morgan weighed in at 4lbs 6oz. She is right on schedule and all is well. I would have put a sonogram picture up however she would not be still for us to get a good picture. She was just a little wiggle worm. Her hands were all over the place and she was kicking like crazy. So sorry no pics. This weekend was good I did some cleaning and ran errands on Saturday and on Sunday Morgan and I went and spent the afternoon at the pool. It was wonderful and I love to lay on the raft on my tummy....OH how I miss doing that....I hope that you all have a great week. Soon I hope to have some pictures of our new house!!!
